Embedded Development Engineer

We‘re looking for an outstanding, hands-on senior FW engineer to join our HW development team and be part of a life-changing technology that improves the world’s metabolic health and quality of life.

Join us in developing a multidisciplinary B2C device while considering a mass-production scale. You will be a meaningful member of a small HW team, with the ability to provide a massive impact on the company as a whole. 

As a Lumen employee, you will need to work as a member of a team, proactively suggest and challenge current principles, and have the ability to work with strategic partners located across the world. 


  • Write all code for the MCU to optimize the use of all sensors and other agents in the system, as well as communicate via BT with the app. 
  • Co-develop an HW product platform across the development process: from conceptual design, schematics support, code implementation, validation, quality assurance, and unit testing.
  • Set and use documentation methodology and technical documents to follow the development process through production hand-off and ongoing support.
  • Develop a micro sensor that collects performance data and system logic to make fast decisions and react accordingly. 
  • Collaborate with the HW team and all the HW stakeholders: CS, Science, Production, Supply Chain, etc. 
  • Support our HW resources for new and existing designs. 

What we are looking for:

  • Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of experience with embedded systems (Arm Cortex-M4 in particularly)
  • experience working with C and C++
  • Experience with analog and digital sensors’ integration and validation
  • Experience with I2C, UART, and SPI communication interfaces
  • Experience with IoT products (BLE BT, low-power battery-based portable product) 
  • Experience with design to cost and to mass production processes
  • Strong capabilities in building organized processes and structured development documentation
  • Designing requirements and acceptance performance approval procedures for externally developed/produced validation/programming tools
  • Perform field failure analysis and debugging processes when required
  • Validation equipment automation development - Advantage
  • Background with FDA-approved products - Advantage
